Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Do you know how loved you are?
Updated: Feb 9, 2019
On Thursday, January 31, I received a message from my cousin stating that she had to check in to the hospital for further testing after her weekly check up at 37 weeks pregnant. My mother and I had her baby shower scheduled for Saturday, February 2. She had asked my Mom to be her support during labor and I was also there to capture the birth. See my Mom was my Aunt's labor coach during my cousin's birth and my mom is the closest person to her since my Aunt's passing.
The baby was scheduled to be induced due low amniotic fluid and so the inducement began on Friday, February 1 at about 7p. I came by to bring her special gifts for the baby.
When my Aunt (RIP) was very ill and legally blind she managed to knit many hats for my babies. I of course treasured them but a few were unworn due to size. I saved them for the day a grandchild is born. My cousin had no idea but it was certainly special. She recognized her mom's knitting style and her emotions took over.
First time Mommy was filled with tears of joy as she looks up and thanked her guardian angels up above. It's the most raw pain and yet the most beautiful one. My favorite part is capturing the first emotions as baby is welcomed by Mommy & Daddy❣️
After about 24 hours the doctor decided to rupture her water at 6pm. Baby Leo decided to arrive on the day of the scheduled baby shower, February 2, 2019 at 10:10pm.❣️
